Paolo and Bianca did an excellent job caring for our cat, Milo, and our home. They met each challenge with a can-do attitude and kept us informed.

The StarLink internet system failed and they navigated purchasing and setting up a new system. They also had to oversee the finishing of an exterior painting project, manage the housekeeper and gardener every week, and deal with the recycling and garbage collection. There was also a car issue with the battery, which they figured out quite successfully.

Milo required medical care during their stay and they did a fantastic job of caring for him. He loved and trusted them, and I think he misses them.

On their last night with us, Paolo cooked a delicious and authentic Italian pasta. They are a delightful and industrious couple and we would welcome them back.

We are so fortunate to have found Paolo and Bianca. From the beginning to the end of the sit, we were amazed at how supportive, kind, and responsible they were. We now consider them very much as friends.

I have enjoyed having them come stay in my home and with my dog, Ariel, so much that I have invited them back multiple times and now try to coordinate having them come back six, seven, or eight months in advance to get onto their calendar for my next extended work trip. On this latest sit, they stayed in my home a full eight months. When I had to stay in Egypt longer for work, they were always willing to extend their stay if their schedule permitted. I never have to worry about anything back home when they are there, because I know that my home and my dog are getting even better care than when I'm there myself.

They actually leave the place they're staying in better condition than when they arrived. My floors, surfaces, appliances, and fixtures have never been so clean and shiny as they are when I return from a long work trip.

Before my last work trip — the eight-month one — my dog Ariel was having lots of trouble with her hips. Her vet could never find anything specifically wrong with her and saw no improvement after multiple treatment trials. I thought her days of jumping on the bed to give me kisses every morning were over because she couldn't jump, climb, or run anymore.

However, after eight months with Paolo and Bianca, imagine my surprise — and sheer joy — when I returned home to find Ariel once again able to run and chase tennis balls and jump on the bed and couch again. She's back to waking me up every day with morning kisses and chasing sticks and tennis balls all over the park, and it's almost miraculous.

I say almost, because I know that it was truly the result of a lot of hard work and dedication on the part of Paolo and Bianca — taking her out daily for long walks around the city, hiking with her on weekends to help build her strength back up, and giving her access to alternative treatments they suggested from experience helping other dogs with similar problems.

Beyond their skill and expertise with animals, they are also wonderful human beings. Talking to them and spending time with them is an absolute joy. I've learned so much from them over the years, and Ariel has benefited tremendously from all of the love and affection and care they have given her. I quite seriously think that their diligent care has added extra years to her lifespan.

If you're lucky enough to have a sit that works with their schedule, do yourself a huge favor and make it work. They're flexible, they're literally the best of the best, and your pet — and house — will thank you immensely.

This was next-level sitting. From the start she was friendly and very helpful with suggestions and advice for home owners — I'm relatively new to this. I've never had anyone take such good care of the plants and the house. In my experience most people are pretty good with the cats but sometimes neglect the house and the watering. Well, both my cats loved Bianca, and for the first time ever all the plants were alive when I returned home — and the house was spotless.

When we posted our need for a house sitter, we had 28 applicants in just a matter of hours. And Paolo and Bianca stood out from everybody else. Having enjoyed the incredible level of attention and loving care that Bianca and Paolo gave to our home during our six weeks away, it only confirmed that they are the absolute best of the best — any homeowner would be absolutely insane not to jump at the chance to have Paolo and Bianca house sit.

First, Paolo and Bianca's personality and disposition are so charming and positive that you will immediately feel like your home is being watched by lifelong friends.

Though we have a house full of plants — as opposed to pets — that need care, the attention Paolo and Bianca gave them, including notifying us the moment they noticed any plant not doing well, always gave us the peace of mind that they were attending to everything as well as — no, probably better than — we would ourselves.

Bianca and Paolo are incredibly attentive to detail. For example, they noticed that the new sheets we left them were staining the mattress pad a bit, so they let us know and rewashed the sheets to address the issue. When Paolo noticed a small leak under our kitchen sink, he simply fixed it himself.

When we made initial plans for the house sit, Paolo had promised to cook us an Italian meal for a send-off. But then the airlines changed our outgoing flight time, and this was no longer possible.

So you need to imagine how we felt, arriving back home after a 16-hour flight, to find our home immaculate, smelling fresh, with all of our plants thriving and beautiful, topped off by our kitchen table set, a scrumptious home-cooked Italian meal left for us on the stove, and even a bottle of wine perfectly paired with the meal that Bianca and Paolo had bought and left for us.

It simply doesn't get any better than this.

Paolo and Bianca were fantastic pet sitters. My cat Sammy adored them! I was nearly worried he wouldn't want me back after their house sit.

They sent me pictures and were very communicative. Every message was quickly returned. They left the house sparkling clean and even did a bunch of laundry. They also made me dinner for when I returned from my trip, which I am so thankful for considering how exhausted I was from traveling — they saved me from starvation!

They had the use of our car for errands and in case Leo needed to go to the vet, which did happen when they found a lump on his leg while grooming him. Bianca and Paolo looked after our beachside condo on Penang island with our five rescued cats and three stray beach dogs. In one sentence — they exceeded all of our expectations. They truly were the best sitters I could have asked for.

When we first Skyped with them as potential sitters, both Graeme and I felt instantly relaxed and comfortable. They were both so easy to talk to, and we felt a great connection with them straight away.

Away for that long, we had numerous issues — fridges breaking down, tradesmen called, cleaners arranged in a not-primarily-English-speaking country. Bianca and Paolo handled it all.

When one of my cats, who we let outside for short periods, got into a fight with a street cat, I was arranging flights home. Bianca and Paolo hadn't dealt with this kind of thing before — but they got him straight to the vet, twice. They researched giving medications and cleaning wounds, but most importantly gave him so much love, concern, and attention, and devoted so much of their time to his recovery.

With Bianca working from home and Paolo's love of cooking, they were with the animals almost 24/7, keeping to all their routines and schedules. With five cats, there are many! Bianca and Paolo worked great as a team, splitting the morning, lunch, afternoon, and night chores. They kept up with all five cats' individual cleaning and grooming routines better than I do — and together went every day to feed and play with our three stray beach dogs. Dogs who are sadly mistreated and very untrusting of people. After an hour together, all three dogs had accepted them and were totally comfortable.

Bianca and Paolo kept in contact with me almost daily — especially through the recovery period — sending lots of pictures and always being available to chat and keep me up to date.

When we returned, the house was spotless, the numerous plants were healthy and well-kept, and most importantly, our babies looked terrific. We could tell by that first evening all together that each of the five cats was completely comfortable, happy, and trusting of Bianca and Paolo. It was obvious they had all formed very close bonds.

For any home and pet owners who are lucky enough to have these guys apply for your house sit — take them. You will not be disappointed, and your home and pets will be looked after as if you were there yourself.
